About Natalie

Statement

I create contemporary paintings that explore our relationship with the natural world through abstraction, color, and memory. Working primarily in acrylic and oil, my recent botanical series reflects a deep reverence for the quiet intelligence of nature and the ways it sustains us—offering medicine, nourishment, shelter, beauty, and renewal.

I paint from experience, emotion, and memory rather than direct reference. Layers of color, organic forms, and gestural marks become imagined landscapes where plants, people, and place are interconnected. My hope is that each painting invites viewers to slow down, reconnect with the living world, and experience the restorative power of color and nature.

Painting the vibrant colors of life has become its own kind of medicine.

Alongside my fine art practice, I continue to work as an illustrator and designer, creating children's books, editorial illustration, and visual identities. Although these disciplines differ in style, they share the same foundation: a belief that thoughtful visual storytelling can inspire curiosity, connection, and wonder.
